Both interior and exterior projects have the same basic process:

  
• The first step will be to meet together on the job site to discuss the scope of the project, budget considerations, take photographs of the existing space, review special needs (children, pets, heavy commercial use, etc.) We’ll discuss the purpose of the space to ensure the psychology of color works for your own needs and has the impact you desire.
     
• During this intake process, we will evaluate which existing architectural elements will remain such as the roof, fireplace, certain furniture, etc. For an interior project, we’ll review your lighting source (warm or cool), and also note how the time of day will affect your color choices. For an exterior project we will take into consideration how color selection will harmonize with surrounding homes and businesses and how the cool sky will affect your final result. There is a tremendous amount of interplay at work in choosing the right color, and this “homework” will help ensure successful choices.  
     
• From this intake and reviewing your personal preferences, I will suggest an initial color direction. I will bring large 8x11 paint samples from select paint brands and we’ll tape them on to the actual surface to get the initial reading in your environment. We’ve now gone from several thousand colors on the market and narrowed it down to just a select few! Since the color will change on different surfaces, during the final process we’ll apply a small sample to the actual wall to ensure it’s the perfect fit for you. We’ll also need to check the color at least 3-4 times throughout the day to make sure the changing light variances have a positive effect on your selection. I can also extend a reduced rate to you for paint!  
     
• Besides paint color schemes, I can also consult with you about other items for your home or business if you have samples available during my visit. Or if you prefer, I can work with you to help select vendors that offer special discounts for the following:
