Undulating golden ocher hills in Italy. Blazing scarlet streaks searing across a sunset. Tender spring green shoots erupting on a garden path. The creamy hue of a warm latte so rich you can almost taste it. How could mixing, painting, and loving all of these luscious hues not result in color consulting to help others?
Barbara has always loved all things art, design, and color. She studied art at the Etruscan Art School in Italy and King’s Art Academy in Utah. She also studied under Gregory Stocks, an internationally renowned artist, color-mixing master, and teacher.
Before her move to Oregon, she used her design and color skills to help restore an old automotive garage into an avant-garde commercial building, worked within the legal industry to create a state-of-the-art Law and Justice Center for Arbitration and Mediation, and was also past president of an association to protect and restore historic buildings.
After establishing herself as an artist, residential and commercial clients began to seek her trained colorist skills to help them enjoy the beauty, science, psychology, and emotional impact of color in their own environments. Creative Source was developed to teach others how to use color more effectively. She lives in the bucolic town of Silverton, Oregon and her studio overlooks a colorful menagerie of horses, goats, sheep, alpacas, cats, and her loyal dog Toby, who is often by her side (but stays in the car when visiting clients!) |
